Live Remote Proctoring

Taking a Remote Exam - Is Live Remote Proctoring a Good Option for Me?

The live remote proctoring option places more responsibility on you as a candidate to ensure your equipment and location meet the technical requirements, including stable Internet, access to a webcam, and microphone. It is recommended that you use your personal computer instead of a company-issued computer because of security settings that may block necessary functions.

We also STRONGLY encourage that you have the ability to take the exam in a private, secure room that will be free from distractions for the duration of the exam. View the list of Major/Minor violations while taking the exam remotely to help determine if this is something that you would like to pursue. All candidates are required to a do a 360-degree room scan of your testing environment and work area prior to beginning the exam. This may require you to lift your laptop or PC if your webcam is not detachable.

If you foresee potential technical issues or distractions, taking the CNRN or SCRN exam in person at a PSI Testing Center will be the better option for you. Both the online and in-person testing environments for the exams provide the same level of rigor and security.

Watch the candidate experience video so that you are familiar with the online proctoring process.
